fast service

Here at Modified Engine Rebuilders we want to get your car done as soon as possible. However, there are many factors that decide the timeframe needed to complete the job and we want you to be aware of just some of the "delay" causes.

For instance: We send out the Heads and the Block for "Decking" but we rebuild them in our shop, sometimes it takes a day or two longer for the machine shop to get the Block or Heads back to us.

Another time delay could be getting the parts, there are times the parts are just not available or on back order from the supplier.  We do our very best to get everything together and ready for the install the very same day your vehicle arrives. Rest assured, most of the problems with parts are far and few between.... but it does happen and we want you to be aware.

Lastly, these are the most common "time delays" we see:

         a) Dead Battery - you had your vehicle towed in to our shop after having it lying in your driveway or backyard for months.  That causes the battery to drain and most likely it will be dead when we go to start the vehicle.

         b) No Gas - This isn't the worst problem but it happens all the time, people bring their car to the shop with NO GAS... that means we have to go to the local station with a gas can and put gas in your vehicle;   #1 - you will be charged for this service, #2 this causes delays!

         c) Fuel System - If you vehicle was laid up for more than a month or so, then there is a possibility your fuel system started depreciating. Fuel turns to a "gum" type residue when it's not moving through your fuel lines and injectors (or carburerator). We can't possibly know this until "after we rebuild and install the engine. This can cause quite a few days of delay.

         d) Injectors -  Same thing as we stated above under Fuel System.

So please remember to let us know if you know any of these problems may exist and we can save a lot of time for us both!
